While a playable PS3 version may have been absent from a LucasArts event last week, assistant producer Jeffrey Gullett says the PS3 version isn’t lagging behind.
While he admitted developing on the PS3 was ”challenging and scary at first,” he went on to say the team has ”gotten over most of the major hurdles”.
Fracture is not your run-of-the-mill shooter set in the near future, developer Day 1 Studios and LucasArts have gone all out to deliver a unique action title. Gullett has said they’ve gotten both the Xbox360 and PS3 versions of the game ”running side by side simultaneously, and they look flawless.”
”You can’t even tell the difference,” he said. ”We’ve managed to pretty much get everything that we’ve put into the 360 version in the PS3 as well.”
He revealed that the issue with the PS3 initially was to do with memory, ”the big thing with the PS3 that I think all the developers are struggling with is when it comes to memory”.
Fracture is being released on Xbox360 and PS3 this late October.
