While it’s always a good thing to hear the studios narrow down a release on their creations, it’s tearful when an ‘evil’ retailer perks everyone’s hopes up with a wildly inaccurate one.
Peter Molyneux, games legend extraordinaire, over the course of the GDC gave hints that autumn would be the earliest time Fable 2 would reach the globe, not the end of May.
“Peter was saying at GDC that Fable 2 won’t be released until late autumn at the earliest,” a source inside Lionhead Studios has said.
Curses and drat! Fortunately I’m also a GTA junkie so I can hold out a while longer for Fable 2 but retailers like Play.com should really learn to keep their digital online traps shut with talk about late May releases, they should at least try to confirm with publishers or the studios themselves. For shame Play.com, for shame.
So a “late autumn at the earliest” release for this Xbox360 exclusive, I can only hope it doesn’t get delayed into next year.
