Remember that super-hero sandbox game called inFamous that was announced last year for Sony’s PS3? No? Well it’s still alive and looking amped up.
It was slated for this year but Sony are now chirping a 2009 schedule. The game centres on Dylan who can use his new powers to either save or destroy Empire City.
Of course the storyline is somewhat more grey area that just ‘save man’ or ‘blast man’. The player character Dylan is involved in a huge explosion in the fictional Empire City and after waking from a 15 day coma he finds all isn’t quite ‘average’ anymore.
Whilst dressing itself with GTA/Crackdown vibe the game is anything but pinching cars or chucking some thugs off a rooftop. Dylan will have a karma style system as the player decides whether they want to save the city of divulge your dark side with the story progressing and evolving as you go along.
You’ll get to face against some super-bad villains as the game is heavily inspired by the comic universe. I can’t wait to hear more of inFamous at this year’s E3 - it could even be the game to convince me of a PS3.
