Apparently the movie star who plays the trained black-ops operative Bourne exited negotiations for his likeness and voice because of the ingame violence.
It seems linked to his mother’s public disdain for violence in videogames and its capacity to ”desensitize kids”, adult film shoot-outs seem okay though…
“Matt and I don’t share the same views about violence in adult films, but we do see eye-to-eye on the importance of protecting children,” said Damon’s mother. “We both support regulations to stop the marketing of violence in films to children through violent toys, products, and video games.”
While something of an initial setback, Meelad Sadat of High Moon studios is actually quite happy that they get to form a new Bourne without the need for celebrity association reports MTV. While the Damon’s try to hold onto the morale high horse of hypocrisy we’ll keep our eyes peeled for a Bourne with real conviction - hopefully something High Moon will deliver.
