Transcripts from the court case reveal that Bethesda has dedicated ”tens of tens of millions of dollars” and over ”a hundred people” to work on the unknown MMO. It has been in development since 2006, although has only been heavily worked on from 2007.
Bethesda doesn’t want its competitors to know whether what it’s working on is a Fallout MMO or something else, and because of this the firm is trying to file to redact these statements so they can’t find out.
If it’s working on a Fallout MMO then we probably won’t hear anything about it until the court case is settled, but it’s unlikely as Bethesda can’t start work on a Fallout MMO until it wins the rights from Interplay.
