PlayStation 4 "coming 2013" in UK says newspaper ad

Sony will be bringing the PlayStation 4 out this year in the UK, or at least that’s what a full page PS4 ad says will be happening in a national newspaper. Sony is yet to officially reveal launch dates.

It is said to be launching in at least one territory ‘holiday 2013’, so hopefully the UK is on Sony’s Santa list. Traditionally Europe and the UK have had to wait longer for a new PlayStation to debut.

PS3 launched in Japan and North America November 2006, but Europe and the rest had to wait until March 2007. Sony has pledged to lessen such regional disparities.

”Now is the time,” begins the ad, reports VideoGamer.com. ”The world’s greatest players are going to entertain, create and amaze on the ultimate stage. This year a new generation will push boundaries of play and share in moments of wonder. This year players will become legends.”

Beneath the PS4 emblem are the words ‘Coming 2013’ with an Official Sponsor logo for UEFA. I’m sure the timing of this ad wasn’t anything to do with the very recent Xbox One reveal, and Sony wanting some of their thunder back.
