This Fallout: New Vegas mod changes the unrealistic, physical 'zap' sound when firing laser weapons to one of a 'charge', which is more suited to these types of weapons as light wouldn't make a sound when being fired, yet the charging of the weapon would. It also removes recoil from laser weapons entirely.
