Stardust Speedway Bad Future (With Music!)

Take a trip back to Sonic CD with this rework of the Stardust Speedway Act 2 level! This mod swaps the palette of the level to match that of the Bad Future Zone from Sonic CD, complete with a swap of the music from that original level to go along with it and make the whole thing a thoroughly enjoyable nostalgic experience. Be aware, this mod requires the Sonic Mania Mod Loader in order to work.

It allows you to choose between a random normal stage, a random original Blue Sphere stage, a random Mania stage, or any combination of the three when entering the bonus zones. Sonic Mania is a masterpiece of redone music and sound, but it's not certainly not the first to revolutionize the iconic sounds of a Sonic game. When Sonic CD hit the scene, it bumped the soundscape of Sonic up quite a few notches. Now you can celebrate the old school with this mod that replaces many of the sounds in Sonic Mania with their Sonic CD counterparts. Each jump, bounce, enemy explosion, and ring collection sounds like the classically upbeat noises that can be found in the Sonic CD game. Be aware, this mod uses the Sonic Mania Mod Loader to work properly.

Back when Sonic Mania was released, there was a little bit of an easter egg in the game attached to popular YouTuber VideoGameDunkey. With a code, when you hit boosts, a voice sample from the YouTuber would play. It got patched out of the game, but this mod brings it back in its full braying glory. Now without use of the code, you can hear the voice sample any time you hit a boost for a silly little addition to your speed.
