Mei may be a tiny little ghost, but she packs a lot of punch. This mod introduces Mei as a selectable character. Instead of firing tears, Mei has three tears that warp around her in a circle. At will, she can launch these tears outwards to attack enemies. The three tears can be powered by collectible weapons and upgraded further to make Mei a veritable area-of-effect powerhouse of a character.

With the upgrade to the Afterbirth version of Binding of Isaac, some areas began to feature new foggy filters that are supposed to add atmosphere to the overall effect of the game. However, if you simply find these things annoying, there's an easy option: Turn it off! This mod lifts the fog to make the levels look a lot cleaner and clearer in their details.

Now here's a little something to delight the Rick and Morty fans out there. We've had items inspired by the show before, but this one is a massive set. You'll be able to choose between five new characters between Rick, Morty, Jerry, and more. Find new items, reskinned items, reworked floors and plenty of other features set to fit the theme of a Rick and Morty-centric run through the basement.

Coming straight from the bright end of the Dark Souls universe comes Soleil (based on Solaire of Astoria). This mod allows you to play as a Warrior of Sunlight, complete with your personal bottle of orange juice so you can properly give praise to the sun. Times might be dark in Binding of Isaac, but you just need to buck up and bring the light into the furthest abyss!

Dice Room Descriptions

You've landed in a dice room, but what's going to happen? If you roll, what's going to come out? There was no way of knowing before hand until now. This mod adds dice descriptions to let you know what you're determining on your rolls. You still have no control over the outcome of the roll, but with this mod, you'll at least know what you're getting or changing as you cast the dice.

Ever forget you have a curse until the timeliest of moments? This will lend a hand. This mod offers a little UI tweak that will put a reminder of your curse beside a counter for it at the top of the screen to let you know how much time is left and what curse you're currently dealing with.

Get ready to embrace purity as you make your death march through the cellars. This mod introduces a new playable character in the form of Uriel. Uriel is a small angel boy with divine powers. He has a little pure familiar that helps him fight and can call down heavenly beams. More than that, if you can remain frugal and not spend on wanton items, Uriel actually grows stronger for your vow of poverty. Use it to your advantage and challenge the depths for the purity of little Uriel's soul.

Straight out of his role in fellow hard-as-nails game The End of Nigh comes the enigmatic and creepy Ash! This mod makes Ash a selectable character. Select him and you'll start with black hearts, bombs, a How to Jump manual, and a Cartridge! Hopefully Ash will have better luck here than in his own unforgiving world.

Better Boss Bar

The boss bars in Binding of Isaac have always been minimal at best, leaving you guessing even with a visual clue there on the screen at how far you have to go with any given enemy. This mod aims to make the boss bars a little more visually appealing and take the guesswork out a bit. The graphic is filled instead of opaque and includes notched segments of health for your convenience.
