Enterbrain data for sales has revealed that 476,334 copies of the game were sold throughout the Japanese consumers, across various editions.
Hardware bundles gave the console a nice kick too, 77,208 PS3 units have sold during launch week Kotaku reports.
Metal Gear Solid 1 managed 316,833 during its first week, according to Enterbrain. 456,747 for MGS2 and 487,156 for MGS3. Not a bad trend there.
More special edition versions have been snapped up for MGS4 than standard ones, perhaps this being Solid Snakes last full outing had something to do with that?
